I have a untold story about me experiencing discrimination while in
foster care. I was discriminated against based on the fact that I
wanted to go to church and was raised catholic prior to being made a
crown ward. I experienced religious discrimination. Religious
discrimination is valuing or treating a person or group differently
because of what they do or do not believe. Religious discrimination
occurs when you are treated less favourably than someone else because of
your religion, your philosophical belief or lack of religion or belief.
The foster parents and group home staff and other foster kids would
treat me differently and try and punish me and mock me for going to
church.
